In Palma’s work, Africa’s profile is in continuous metamorphosis, and becomes a starting point for stimuli and reflections which are sometimes ironical and sometimes satirical, and sometimes simply poetic.
Ten pictures to say that Africa lives, hopes, fights, suffers; and is born, dies and then is reborn again.
Pictures that underline not only Africa’s most urgent and grave needs, but also underline its most beautiful and wild aspects.
Because Africa has a lot to teach the West, if the “evolved” peoples know how to listen with attention and humility.
Africa … for love, brotherhood, solidarity, sympathy, empathy … for Africa.

C.A.U.S. – Centre of Humorous and Satirical Arts, an italian non-profit associations which activities have been developed in the fields of art, graphics, communication, the environment and architecture, but also in education and pedagogy, in schools and universities, involving both students and teachers. It has promoted exhibitions, shows, conferences and debates at a national and international level, carrying out valuable research and publishing numerous works on a non-profit basis.

HURRARC (Human Rights Respect Awareness Raising Campaigners) is a
Sierra Leone NGO based in Freetown. It was founded in 1992, by
Sahr GMP Fania together with other refugees from Sierra Leone at the time of the outbreak of the civil war, to
document the Human Rights Violations being committed by all parties. HURRARC has been registered as a
Community Based Organisation (CBO) with Freetown City Council.
