As an organisation set up by refugees from Sierra Leone, a country ruined and impoverished by an 11-year Civil war (1992-2003), HURRARC is mainly concerned with Raising Awareness for the Respect for Human Rights, Peace & Nonviolence, Civic and Environmental Education among Sierra Leone youth and wider public, by means of practical projects for their organisation, training and general empowerment, especially by the formation of Commissions and Departments set up for for this purpose.
