Co-Gender Commission

Gender Rights Advocacy, Empowerment, Development and Research.

The CO-GENDER commission for Gender Rights protection, developments, empowerment and research will pursue respect for the Gender Rights of Women through monitoring and advocacy, as well as empowering and building the capacities of girl children and women in Sierra Leone.

CO-GENDER is involved with women’s empowerment and capacity building in the fields of Agriculture, Medicine (Maternal and Child Health Care), Skills and Vocational Training, and in Micro Credit projects.

CO-GENDER has branches in KONO - GWIDA – Gbogboafeh Women’s Integrated Development Association - and in KENEMACO-GENDER- KENEMA BRANCH (EAST-I).

About Hurrarc

HURRARC (Human Rights Respect Awareness Raising Campaigners) is a Sierra Leone NGO based in Freetown. It was founded in 1992, by Sahr GMP Fania together with other refugees from Sierra Leone at the time of the outbreak of the civil war, to document the Human Rights Violations being committed by all parties. HURRARC has been registered as a Community Based Organisation (CBO) with Freetown City Council.
