Request to endorse support and participate to the World March for Peace and Nonviolence

The Humanist Movement in collaboration with other endorsed organizations like the General Anti – Violence Movement Sierra Leone (G.A.V.M .S.L.), The Youth Actions Against Violence (Y.A.A.V.), The Human Rights Respects Awareness Raising Campaigners (HURRARC), The Game Plan for Attitudinal Change (G-PAC), The National Traders’ and Drivers’ Unions, Wanjamarian Musical Artist Union (WAMAU), invite you / your institution/ Organization, Department and or any, to not only tender or sign in and support, but to also endorse and fully participate, in the forth coming ‘’First Ever’’ World March for Peace and Non Violence, which will commence on the 2nd October, 2009, from New Zealand in the Australian Continent, to Asia, through Europe, America and Africa, to end up in Punta Da Vasca in Argentina, on the 2nd January, 2010.

The Forefront of the March through Africa, has chosen to pass through Sierra Leone, and will be received by you, we and the rest of the Sierra Leoneans, at the Liberian Border on the 5th November, 2009, through Kenema on the 7th November, 2009, and to Freetown, where the Grand March will be held on the 14th November, 2009. From then, we will accompany the Team to the Guinean border, from where they will continue, through Ivory Coast to the End.

Programme:

• Radio programmes: 21st/09/09 –2nd/01/010, with daily jingles, weekly discussions and updating bulletin
• Social evangelism: 1st to the 10th October, 2009, outreach to schools and youth groups in gray areas
• Opened forum: 2nd to 5th October, 2009: the team, with a p.a. system, will move to communities to preach about the culture of peace and non violence with tolerance.
• Drama session: there will be drama sessions, from the 17th-20th October, 2009, based upon the themes of peace and non violence, and the destructive nature of arms and nuclear.
• Sporting activities: there will soccer games organized between schools, unions, parties, religious groups etc, starting from the 21st October to the 1st November 09
• 5 th to 6th Novembre 09: trip to and from the liberian border, to collect the World March team
• 7th November 09: World March for Peace and Nonviolence rally in Kenema town
• 9th November 09: World March rally in Bo town.
• 10th November 09: World March team travel to Freetown
• 14th November 09: World March for Peace and Nonviolence rally in Freetown
• 15th/16th November 09: World March team take off to Guinea Conakry
• 17th November 09: preparations for the trip to Punta da Vasca, Argentina
